Here's what I'm running:

Wbui.dll 2005/12/06 21:29:06

I have multiple user accounts set up. I sometimes log on to my account and am faced with windows classic theme instead of the chosen windowblind. I uninstalled and re-installed to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Hasn't anybody else had this problem??
on Jun 12, 2006
I haven't found any post where others have had this problem. I have found other posts in the same vein, however their issue was other user had no access, ever.

Have any versions worked prior to this beta?
on Jun 12, 2006
All versions worked prior to this beta - the problem is that I cannot revert to the prior version because SDCentral did not properly archive the older version. I get an error when trying to go back to the prior version.

I went in and deleted the current user wb5.ini folder from the registry - I just figured that since I was the only user account that was having the problem I might as well try it. I logged off, then back on, then loaded windowblinds. It rewrote the regitry settings that I deleted. I logged off, then back on, and now windowblinds is showing properly at log-on with my user account. I logged off and on multiple times with success. I will post here if the problem repeats itself. Thanks for the ear Bichur.

glad it's working.

don't forget, you can go back to the released by unchecking 'show pre release'
sometimes you have to uninstall the beat, then reboot first for it to show

This is getting old - greeted once again by the windows classic theme this morning.

Are you using Panda Antivirus?

Or do you have any other theme applications installed which run at login?

Neil - glad you showed up - perhaps you can save me from pulling all of my hair out! No Panda, I am using Windows OneCare Live.

Windowblinds loads properly 100% of the time on 3 other user accounts (my family). It now loads sporadically on my user account only - i.e. this morning I logged on and saw the classic windows theme, tonight I log on and see the classic windows theme but log off then back on later and am greeted by my favorite windowblind skin. Troublesome.

Do you have Fast User Switching enabled? When you're logged on and you get the Classic, look in Services and see if it's running.
